NASA TechRise Student Challenge

A team of students from Nicole Crawford’s Robotics class at DeRidder Junior High School was selected as Louisiana's winner of NASA's TechRise Student Challenge. The NASA TechRise Student Challenge selects one student-proposed payload from each state and U.S. territory. As one of the 60 winning TechRise teams across the nation, NASA is supporting the development and demonstration of the DJHS team’s payload, D.E.P.T.H (Discovering and Exploring Plants Thermal Heat), including the test flight on World View Flight vehicle. The student team of 7th graders includes Alysa P., Jane B., Annaleigh C., Samuel G., Michael H., Alexsiandra L., Macie M., Landon S., and Quentin W.
